Read through an article (there are some great ones put out by the National Park Service on the internet) that tells the history of your park. Some internet sites may refer to the history as "establishment".
Select five or more events in the park's history for your timeline. Include events such as:
In order to create the timeline it is essential that these directions be followed exactly and in the order presented.
Make a Timeline with Inspiration®
You will need to go into the INSPIRATION program found on the harddrive
- In Outline view, type in the dates as topics.
- Go back to each date and put information as subtopics under it.
- Click Diagram (toolbar).
- Click Arrange (toolbar). Choose Top Down Tree and Center Stacking.
- Choose "Fit to Window" (command/control-E) by clicking on the "100" (or other number) in the lower left hand corner of the Diagram, or by using command/control-E to see your timeline.
- Change/enhance as desired.
